It works like a recording studio panel. Inside the frame is 2" Owens Corning 703, the same absorber pro sound studios use, rated NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) 1.0: it absorbs nearly all the sound that reaches it, nearly three times what a typical 1 inch foam tile does. Measured performance. We tested our acoustic frames in a studio environment with calibrated microphones. In a 10×10 ft room, one 24×24 art piece cuts harsh echo by about 5%.
